Detroit Lean Startup Circle
A place for high-tech entrepreneurs to learn from other successful entrepreneurs, Detroit Lean Startup Circle is held monthly at the Compuware building downtown. This meetup specifically encourages local entrepreneurs to learn more about the lean startup method. Their next event will be on Tuesday, August 7th.
Startup Drinks Detroit
A meetup calling for all “Founders, Freelancers, Students, and Moonlighters!” Startup Drinks Detroit is a monthly meetup of tech, social media, and other professionals working with the web. Grab a drink at some of the best local bars and meet other Detroiters in your field. July’s startup drinks was at the Detroit Yacht Club, before that the Mercury Bar and Grill. They’ll be at Midtown’s Great Lakes Coffee, a great new addition to Midtown, on August 23rd.
Mobile Monday Detroit
Mobile Monday Detroit is a monthly meetup focused on helping companies stay up to date with the latest mobile technologies. This one is also hosted at Compuware downtown. Their August Mobile Monday just passed, so stay tuned for the next one.
Detroit Networking Events: IT Industry
Whether you’re going to their casual networking social or their pink slip party, this is a great way to meet other IT professionals in the Detroit area. Their next meetup will be Thursday, August 16 at Detroit Beer co.
Bizdom Events
Often featuring tech industry leaders like Josh Linkner, Bizdom typically hosts monthly networking events specifically focused on tech and local Detroit startups. Many of these events are located in Dan Gilbert’s recently refurbished Madison Building, a beautiful building with a rooftop bar overlooking Tiger Stadium and Ford Field. Their next one will be a Business Model Brunch on Friday, August 17th.
